Glossop Arts Project
Volume 1 / Issue 3 Our news!
Our Arts for Wellbeing sessions on Mondays and Fridays needs your help! Donations please!
We accept donations of your time, art materials and good hard cash!!!!
Our sessions for people with long term physical and mental health conditions are free to those who need it most! One of the reasons Glossop Arts Project was set up was to offer support to people who very often ‘slip through the net’ of services and benefit entitlement. We fundraise as much as possible by holding craft fairs, car boot sales, selling handmade items made in the sessions and we have a lot of regular sponsorship. We are hopeful that the High Peak Borough Councillors support us again this financial year from their Councillors initiative fund – this is a pot of money given to them to spend in the community on events and projects affecting their constituents – and as our group has people from all over the Glossopdale area and beyond we can ask the Councillors for their support.
We have a new team member – Art Therapy Student
We will be joined in September by Lucy an Art Therapy student in her 2nd year from Leeds Beckett University – We hope Lucy enjoys her time with us and we will be very pleased to have her with us in some groups and she will also be holding one to one sessions. For more info contact Sonja Quirk
