Mind the Gap

YOUNG PERSON’S  – ARTS FOR WELLBEING

We now have two Arts for Wellbeing sessions per week for young people, who need support with their mental health.

One is on a Wednesday afternoon 5-6:30pm at Victoria Hall, for 11 – 18 year olds. The other is on a Friday 12:30-2:30pm at Victoria Hall, for 14 – 18 year olds.

We call it Arts for Wellbeing – it’s for young people who might be struggling with things like anxiety or low mood, lack of confidence or self-esteem, young people who might feel socially isolated and just want a bit of time out with other like-minded young people.

We have recently secured funding to have a counsellor available at the sessions on a Wednesday – this is free to access and once young people start attending the sessions they can speak to staff about accessing the counsellor.

During all sessions we offer a variety of arts and crafts activities and more, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. You can choose how much or how little you do, and we want to hear your ideas about how we can make it better – these sessions are for you!

We also have a CAMHS worker at both Mind the GAP sessions.  This offers a great opportunity for a joined up approach to supporting young people.

For the these sessions and more information please contact Elle on 07821873424 or elle@glossopartsproject.org
